The confirmed number of Kyrgyzstan gambling halls is a fact in a little doubt. As info from this country, out in the very most central part of Central Asia, often is awkward to get, this might not be all that bizarre. Whether there are two or three approved casinos is the element at issue, perhaps not quite the most earth-shaking bit of info that we don’t have.

We understand that in Bishkek, the capital city, there is the Casino Las Vegas (a spectacularly original title, don’t you think?), which has both table games and slot machine games. We can also find both the Casino Bishkek and the Xanadu Casino. Each of these offer 26 video slots and 11 gaming tables, divided amidst roulette, 21, and poker. Given the amazing likeness in the sq.ft. and setup of these two Kyrgyzstan gambling dens, it may be even more astonishing to determine that they share an address. This appears most strange, so we can clearly determine that the number of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling halls, at least the approved ones, is limited to 2 members, 1 of them having altered their title a short time ago.
The state, in common with practically all of the ex-USSR, has undergone something of a accelerated adjustment to capitalism. The Wild East, you may say, to allude to the chaotic conditions of the Wild West a century and a half back.
Kyrgyzstan’s casinos are actually worth going to, therefore, as a bit of anthropological research, to see dollars being bet as a type of collective one-upmanship, the aristocratic consumption that Thorstein Veblen spoke about in 19th century u.s.a..
